The Raccoon River Regional Park is 631.61 acres of parkland providing active recreational facilities, along with a lake and hundreds of acres of natural wildlife area. The park lake is a favorite of fishermen and also features a public beach available for swimming throughout the summer. The park components include soccer fields, softball fields, picnic shelters, nature trail, and a lodge.

The Nature Lodge is an intimate space in a natural setting. The Lodge sits along the shores of Blue Heron Lake and provides a place for group retreats or to celebrate special occasions. The facility has modern conveniences and a capacity of up to 120 people, making this picturesque, elegant yet rustic facility a unique place for special events.

B*K completed a market analysis study of similar facilities in the area, determined a primary market focus for the various aspects of the park, developed a park master plan and a detailed business plan for each park element. The study also included the development of an organizational structure and an estimate of operating expenditures and revenues.
