The Upper St. Clair Community & Recreation Center encompasses 90, 000 sq. ft. of recreational opportunities for fitness and fun. The center includes 2 gymnasiums, exercise studios, senior/teen lounge, childcare space, poolside party rooms, and community rooms all on the first level. The second level includes fitness space with cardio equipment, televisions, multi-media screens and virtual trainers, free weights, and walk/jog track.
The recreation center also includes both an Indoor Aquatics Center and Outdoor Aquatic Center. The Indoor Aquatic Center hosts an interactive water structure with slides, a tot area, 4 lane 25 meter lap pool and large whirlpool. This area includes zero depth entry, indoor resistance current. The Outdoor Aquatic Center is 28, 000 sq. ft. with zero depth entry, a splash bucket, slides, water structure, and a 3 lane leisure pool. The surrounding deck area has a lawn, covered pavilions, and lockers rooms.
B*K completed a full feasibility study for the center. This included market analysis, public input, programming, and an operations pro-forma. In addition B*K helped with operations planning prior to the center’s opening and then completed a full operations audit after its first year of operation.
