The City of Sullivan, MO is a small community along Highway 44 with a regional draw to the community. Given their proximity to St. Louis, they have the ability to draw some competitive baseball and softball tournaments from the St. Louis area, both adult and youth.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the current use of the ball fields located at the Fairgrounds. Additionally, as part of that evaluation the other ball fields in the community were evaluated and from that determined if relocating a portion of those to the Fairground would be advantageous. In adding total playing surfaces in one location, the hope of the Parks & Recreation Department is to become more desirable for tournaments and community use.
