Sheridan County School District No. 2 engaged B*K to conduct an operational assessment for a future facility. The proposed facility would include a leisure pool, therapy pool, 50M pool, weight & cardio training space, training room, meeting room, indoor 200M track with multi-purpose court space in the center of the track and be open to the public.
As part of the operational assessment B*K reviewed the proposed program statement developed by TSP Architects, conducted a demographic analysis of the City, School District and County and visited with the existing service providers in Sheridan. In addition B*K visited with the Sheridan Recreation District and the local YMCA as they are potential operational partners on the project. That base-line information was then used to develop an operations analysis for the proposed facility.
The School District is using this information to determine if the space program is appropriate, the level of capital investment that they can afford for the project and the long term subsidy that the facility may require for operations and capital improvement.
