The City of Overland Park currently operates a comprehensive arboretum that is located in the southern third of the community. To date the facility has been free to the public for use, but future of expansion may require the assessment of a daily use fee and/or annual membership.
B*K was tasked with contacting several local and regional arboretums and botanical gardens to benchmark their fee structures. Of particular interest to the City was the age range for free admission, youth admission, adult admission and seniors. Additionally the City was interested in knowing how many “free-days” other similar providers offered.
