Project Details:

  • Completion Date: 13 Mar 2013
  • Partner: Water Technology, Inc.
  • Facility Type: Aquatic Centers
  • Client Category: Non-Profit Organizations

The Cornwall Sea Dragons Swim Team participates in the Empire State Swim League (ESSL) and continued to grow in size expanding to participation in USA Swimming events year-around. A significant challenge of the swim team and other members of the ESSL is the availability of pool time for both practices and more than 2 team swim meets. B*K was tasked with conducting a feasibility study about the development of a stand-alone aquatic center that would service the Sea Dragons, other ESSL teams, high school teams and championship events.

B*K’s scope of services for this project included; review of existing information and participation numbers, demographic analysis for identified service areas, market potential based upon NSGA participation statistics, identification of alternative service providers, swimming community input, program recommendations and a comprehensive operational analysis for multiple facility programs.
