Gene Gamber spearheaded the fund raising for the Lee’s Summit Senior Center when notified that the center would have to move out of its old facility. His hard work was paid off as a new multi-generational facility that is part of Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation Dept. was named after him. The Gamber Center is a 17, 500-q. ft. facility, finished in June 2008, has a grand ballroom, two exercise rooms, two craft rooms, a computer lab, pool tables, a kitchen and a bistro.
B*K provided the needs assessment, programming and operations plan for the City of Lee’s Summit.
