The Kansas City Parks & Recreation Department hired a project team to evaluate the 10 indoor community recreation centers they operate.
Kansas City Parks & Recreation operates a total of 10 indoor community recreation centers for the residents of Kansas City. The focus of the project was to evaluate each of the 10 facilities. B*K’s role in the project was to first complete a demographic assessment of the City and the micro-service areas of each location. B*K classified each of the 10 locations as a regional ice rink (1), community recreation center (4), and community center (5). B*K provided an operational analysis for each of the locations and for the facilities as a whole. Using the information that B*K produced, combined with the physical assessment of each location, recommendations were made. B*K took the future recommendations and offered operational realities for each scenario.
