Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation Department plans to construct a fieldhouse and hired a project team to evaluate the market, offer facility program recommendations, and develop and operational plan.
As a precursor to the design and development of a fieldhouse, the Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation Department hired a project team to assist in evaluating the market. To evaluate the market, B*K completed a comprehensive market study which focused on an immediate, primary, and secondary service area. B*K took that demographic information and developed a unique participation percentage, based on demographics. Another part of evaluating the market was the identification of similar facilities. Using this information and input from stakeholders and staff, B*K provided facility program recommendations to SFS Architecture. SFS used that information to develop adjacency diagrams, construction costs, and project costs. Concurrently, B*K developed an operational plan for the proposed facility, along with an economic impact statement.
