The Des Moines Metropolitan Park District was developed to support the Mt. Rainier Pool. The pool is part of the Forward Thrust movement in the Seattle-Metro area and was an aging facility.
Before renovating the existing facility, B*K was contracted to assess the operations of the pool and conduct an operations analysis. The focus of the assessment included the facility, physical plan, staffing, and documentation. The operation analysis compared the cost of contracting out the operations of the pool to self-operation.
