The Gilpin County Community Center, a 43,000 sq. ft. facility, is located in a beautiful rural mountain community, in a county of 4,700 residents. This impressive center is unique, in that the revenue for it came solely from gaming impact funds. The center includes a Myrtha Pool with zero depth entry, water features, slide, and 6 x 25 lane lap pool. A large gymnasium is able to accommodate either one or two full-court games at once. The center also includes a fitness studio, indoor walk/jog track, cardio equipment, teen room, senior room, staff offices and multi-purpose room with kitchen for special events. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the amenities of this community center.
