The City of Gunnison a historic, rural, college town, desiring to provide for the community needs built the community center to provide indoor recreational opportunities. The Gunnison Community Center includes a gymnasium; rock climbing wall, childcare space, meeting rooms, gymnastics space, teen center and lobby.
B*K has completed numerous studies for the City of Gunnison helping them to move forward with the initial recreation center building, as well as additional studies to add an aquatic component to the existing facility. B*K provided the market analysis and operations pro-forma in 2003. Updates to the market analysis and operations pro-forma have also been completed to provide additional information.
