The Longmont Recreation Center is located on a shared campus with the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center. This park area also includes an outdoor campus with walking and running trails, skate park and xeriscape garden and pond area. The recreation center is 63,250 SF and was funded by a $22 million bond issue. Due to thoughtful design, facility patrons get to enjoy views of the Rocky Mountains from many areas of this facility during their use. The components of the recreation center include a 6-lane lap pool, leisure pool with lazy river, slides, waterfall, tot area and zero depth entry. There is a 3-court basketball gymnasium adjustable for volleyball and badminton. Additional amenities include a fitness area, aerobics room and weight room, plus a 2 story tall climbing wall, with easy to difficult routes.
