The Medina Community Recreation Center was a joint project between the Medina City Schools and the City of Medina. Through their partnership they were best able to offer the community the opportunities and quality of life they desired, in a cost effective manner. The recreation center is 107,000 SF and includes a gymnasium with 4 full-size basketball courts, walk/jog track, fitness areas, a field house, as well as a cafe. The aquatic components include a leisure pool with zero depth entry, current channel, geysers, interactive water features and a competition 25-meter, 8-lane lap pool.
Ballard*King & Associates provided the operations pro-forma for this collaboration of city and high school teaming for a recreation center facility.
