Ballard*King was responsible for the development of a market and demographic review and participation trends, and to correlate that information back to the township as a needs assessment for an indoor recreation space. B*K also participated in public engagement through open houses and staff interviews. The township was approached about purchasing an existing rental facility during the study. Ultimately, B*K provided a recommendation for indoor space needs and how the existing facility may accommodate those needs. An operation plan was developed with participation estimates, fees and charges, revenue generation and a line-item expense budget.
