This facility includes a gymnasium, climbing wall and bouldering cave, pool, weight rooms, 6 racquetball and 9 squash courts. The John W. Heisman Club Field House is linked to Philips and includes a six-lane 200-meter track and four tennis courts. The recreation center also offers memberships to the community.

A major focus of the study was to look at specific methods to increase the use by community members.
