Project Details:

  • Completion Date: August 2025
  • Partners: NAC Architecture; Counsilman-Hunsaker
  • Facility Type: Aquatic Center Feasibility Studies
  • Client Category: Municipal & Government

The Othello Community Pool was updated in 2007. Unfortunately, the pool had significant leaks and had to close. This led the city to create a Task Force to study options for providing aquatics to the community.

The goal of the Othello Aquatics Task Force was to build a fun recreational facility the citizens of Othello could be proud of that would provide year round use and be a center of community involvement. The study assessed the current facility and its use, and opportunities for improvements. Ballard*King reviewed the existing operations and performed a market analysis. These resulted in 3 options for the City which were to repair the existing facility, repair and expand, or repair and add an indoor facility. B*K provided operational ranges for each option with the City ultimately choosing to repair the existing facility.
