B*K was responsible for determining appropriate recreational amenities to include along the riverfront (both indoor and outdoor) to attract people to this area of Des Moines. Park amenities included outdoor event and festival space, concession and watercraft rentals, event and meeting areas, as well as links to indoor recreation areas. B*K was also responsible for the development of the initial operations budget for the riverwalk plan.
