The City of Garland offers a variety of aquatic facilities for their residents. The Surf and Swim facility offered visitors a large wave pool, kiddie play area, locker rooms, and concession facilities.
The focus of the study that B*K completed for the City was to evaluate the financial impact of a renovation to the Surf and Swim facility. In particular, the City wanted to gain an understanding of the impact upon; operational expenditures, the potential for increased revenue production and the increase in capital improvements.
B*K’s scope of services for this project included: review existing demographic information, visit competing facilities in the Garland and Dallas-Ft. Worth area, complete an operations analysis for the proposed renovated facility.
