The University of California-Riverside’s current Student Recreation Center is approximately 85, 000 square feet to which they will add an additional 65, 000 square feet. With an anticipated opening date of January 2014 UCR issued a RFP for professional services to aid in the successful grand opening.
The scope of services that B*K completed for UCR included the following: one week on campus data collection, development of an operational budget that takes into account the ramp-up leading to opening and a operational audit of the functional areas of the recreation center as outlined by the department. A second “visioning” phase of the scope of services looked at long range planning of the facility was completed after the initial Phase I services.
