The Whitewater Aquatic & Fitness Center took 30 years in the planning process, 10 years in the design and fundraising phase, 1 year to construct, and will provide a lifetime of fun for the community. The Aquatic Center came to fruition because of the efforts of a private group (SWIM), the Whitewater Unified School District, the City of Whitewater, and private donors. The center is a 33, 400 SF addition to Whitewater High School with features for the whole family. The components of this facility include an 8-lane, 25-yard lap pool, leisure pool, zero-depth entry, 120 ft. body slide, lazy river, wheelchair access and lifts, geysers, vortex pool, and a whirlpool.
